The social project of Dario Azzelini & Oliver Ressler Occupy, Resist, Produce, follows occupied factories where workers managed to organise labor under their control. The three films focus on the factories of RiMaflow (Milan), Officine Zero (Rome) and Vio.Me. (Thessaloniki) respectively. Films have been produced for the first three factories and more are to follow. For each film, discussions with the workers and their assemblies, as the main decision-making body of the workers, are conducted and recorded. These discussions offer the workers the possibility to publicly address the achievements, difficulties, advantages and challenges of worker's control.

This screening takes place within the context of the International Week of Solidarity for Vio.Me., in front of the imminent threat of liquidation of the company. After the screening, there will be a live discussion with a member of the Solidarity Initiative for Vio.Me. and important updates will be shared about the current status of the struggle.

Dario Azzellini is a political scientist and lecturer at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, writer and filmmaker based in Berlin and Caracas. He holds a PhD in political science from the Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany). His research and writing focuses on social and revolutionary militancy, migration and racism, people’s power and selfadministration, workers control and extensive case studies in Latin America.

Oliver Ressler is an artist and filmmaker who produces installations, projects in the public space, and films on issues such as economics, democracy, global warming, forms of resistance and social alternatives. Over the years, he collaborated with the artists Zanny Begg (Sydney), Ines Doujak (Vienna), Martin Krenn (Vienna), Carlos Motta (New York), Gregory Sholette (New York), David Thorne (Los Angeles) and the political scientist Dario Azzellini (Berlin).
