Spätestens seit der Weltwirtschaftskrise 2008 ist klar geworden, dass die Verschränkung von Demokratie und Kapitalismus per se nicht zum „Wohle aller“ wirkt, sondern in der real existierenden (Post-)demokratie Experten, Lobby-Gruppen und vor allem Wirtschaftseliten die politischen Prozesse und demokratischen Institutionen zunehmend unterwandern und zu ihren Gunsten gestalten.
